Join Bob Duchesne, host of Wild Maine on FM92.9 for this exciting cruise. Bob is serving his sixth term in the Maine House of Representatives and is chair of the Maine inland fisheries and wildlife house committee.
Cruise aboard a stable and comfortable jet-powered catamaran from Bar Harbor to Bangor and up the Penobscot River. Along the way pass through Eggomoggin Reach and under the Deer Isle Bridge, visit Castine Harbor, travel 40 miles up the Penobscot River, view Fort Knox and the Penobscot Narrows Bridge. Bob Duchesne will play host and point out wildlife and bird sightings.
During the tour lighthouse historian Jeremy D’Entremont will provide historic narrative at 12 lighthouses – with eight-minute stops at each light. A representative of the friends of Fort Knox will be on board to provide commentary on Fort Knox.
Lighthouses seen will be Bear Island, Bass Harbor, Blue Hill Bay, Pumpkin Island, Dice Head, Fort Point, Eagle Island, Deer Island Thorofare, Great Duck Island, Baker Island, Winter Harbor, and Egg Rock.

Candace was the US Lighthouse Society historian from 2016 until she passed away in August 2018. For 30 years, her work involved lighthouse history. She worked with the National Park Service and the Council of American Maritime Museums. She was a noted author and was considered the most knowledgable person on lighthouse information at the National Archives.
