Cruise aboard the Majestic Princess up the Hudson River on Saturday, October 20th, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., leaving from Pier 1, St. George, Staten Island, adjacent to the National Lighthouse Museum.
The narrated cruise will pass Jeffrey’s Hook Lighthouse (“Little Red Lighthouse”), Ambrose Lightship, Frying Pan Lightship, the Lilac Lighthouse Tender, and Tarrytown Lighthouse. Presenters will also note significant New York City sites and relate historic tales. The magnificent Palisades and fall foliage are an added attraction.

Candace was the US Lighthouse Society historian from 2016 until she passed away in August 2018. For 30 years, her work involved lighthouse history. She worked with the National Park Service and the Council of American Maritime Museums. She was a noted author and was considered the most knowledgable person on lighthouse information at the National Archives.
