It’s an act of kindness before the holidays. A Secret Santa left $100 at Nubble Lighthouse in York. “Brought a few tears to my eyes,” Wendy Collins said.
Wendy Collins has been going to the lighthouse nearly every day to watch the sunrise. On Tuesday, she met a man and was having a conversation with him when she spotted a red envelope taped to a rock.

Cape Lookout Lighthouse To Shine Through The Holidays
Cape Lookout National Seashore on the Outer Banks of North Carolina will illuminate the iconic lighthouse in celebration of the holidays.
The lights will shine on the black and white diamonds of the lighthouse through Saturday, January 2, 2021, each evening from from 5 pm. until 9:30 p.m.

Christmas caroling at New Presque Isle Lighthouse (MI)
A group of volunteers found a way to go caroling safely in the midst of a pandemic. While there were nearly no Christmas events going on this season, members of the Presque Isle Township Museum Society (PITMS) brought some holiday cheer from the porch of the 1905 keeper’s quarters at New Presque Isle Lighthouse Park on Christmas Day.
“We do want to make sure that people know there are a group of seniors who are willing to bring some holiday cheer,” said PITMS board president Vicki Wright. The caroling was done within the guidelines set by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.

Jamestown Lighthouse in Ghana comes alive for the holidays
The Jamestown Lighthouse in Ghana, on the west coast of Africa, became a center of attraction ahead of the festive season when Stanbic Bank lit up the edifice on Accra’s coastline on Wednesday, December 23.
Residents of Jamestown and its environs as well as commuters along the Atta Mills High Way thronged to the Jamestown Lighthouse in excitement to catch a glimpse of the cultural monument come to life with beams of light.

Port Credit Lighthouse in Mississauga, Ontario, is lit for the holidays
Port Credit’s Lighting of the Lighthouse is a local family-friendly celebration and well-loved Port Credit tradition that is celebrated every year with free hot chocolate, refreshments, treats and entertainment by local students. Even though things are different this year, the tradition will still continue in a safe way. Community members say the lighting will bring some cheer to the community.

Pelee Passage (Riverside) Lighthouse in Ontario brightens spirits in dark times
The City of Windsor, Ontario, has given a landmark a holiday makeover. The lighthouse at Lakeview Marina in Riverside is all lit up for the holidays.
“It’s incredible. Absolutely incredible,” says resident Karen Simpson. Another passerby, Smaranda Nedelciuc, says it makes her feel happy too.“It made me feel like jolly,” says Nedelciuc.
